Professor Ssali was a Ugandan medical doctor and researcher in both western and traditional herbal medicines. He was also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in London.

After ten years of scientific medical research, Professor Ssali developed natural nutritional supplements for building the body's immune system.

· 1930 – Born in Meeru Masaka in Uganda

· 1955 – Graduated with Honours from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda
1967 – Became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), UK

· 1973 – Discovered curative treatment for Atrophic Rhinitis (“Kibobe” in Luganda)

· 1974 – Discovered new method for successful treatment of Laryngo Tracheobronchitis.

· 1974 – Discovered basis for treatment of Rhino Scleroma (“Kokolo” in Luganda)

· 1975 – Appointed Professor and Head of Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Uganda.

· First Ugandan Ear Nose and Throat specialist,

· First Ugandan Head of Department at Makerere University and at Mulago Hospital.

· Consultant for the Government of Uganda and Makerere University.

· 1992 – Researched and Developed the Range of Mariandina Nutritional Supplements.

· 1992 – Started studies various herbs, nutrients, vitamins etc.

· 1992 – Designed Mariandina A and observed positive results on HIV patients, diabetics etc.

· 1993 – Some HIV patients still not improving fast enough or still succumbing to various ailments

· 1993 – Developed Mariandina J. Vastly improved results with HIV. Determined that just need A & J.

· 1993 – Developed Mariandina B. The combination was the optimal treatment for very weakened HIV patients.

· 2000 – Developed Mariandina Cream for skin ailments.

· 2000 – Developed Mariandina Syrup for Children.

· 2004 – Prof Charles Ssali, passed away in Kampala Uganda
· TODAY- Today Mariandina is registered and sold in over 15 countries including Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ghana, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, Mali, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda and Zimbabwe. Mariandina is also sold in Martinique, UK, USA.
· 2004 – Passed away in Kampala Uganda
